The Paralibrarian Section Board hopes this message finds you and your families well in this challenging time.
We wanted to reach out and inform you of some of the decisions the Board has made.
For now, all of our in-person training activities have been put on hold until it is deemed safe to reschedule. Everything is so up in the air on when that might be, that it might take some time to get things rescheduled. In the meantime, if you are interested, there are several on-line training opportunities you can explore, found at http://para.nhlibrarians.org/continuing-education-opportunities-2/ and http://para.nhlibrarians.org/classes-in-new-hampshire/resources-for-professional-development/
If you are working on your Certification, at this time, please hold your application. With Library closures and limited staff, the Board doesn’t want applications to be misplaced. We will be unable to process any applications until things return to whatever normal will be. The application due date has changed from May 1 to July 1, anticipating that we can accept them at that time.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE, the Board has extended the timeline for acquiring points for Levels II – IV from 3 to 4 years. This will hopefully allow applicants to continue without being penalized for the gap in classes and access.
Stay well and know we will be back when it is safe for us to do so.
